Report out from Campus Police Capt Chris Day
-Appointment of new Chief of Police coming soon
-Chris Moura is the new captain assigned at SCC
-Kelly Benitez is the interim captain at CRC
-Sergeant at SCC resigning; position will be advertised soon
-Interviews for police officers still continuing; a handful of them have been moved for 2nd interviews.
-6 police officers working district wide
-On Friday, there will be interviews for Community Service Officers.
-Captain Day still manages both ARC & SCC.
-LRPD is staying busy with events, citations, & student disciplines.
-Preparing for two graduation ceremonies coming up
-Summer is coming so more kids are utilizing the pool amenities
-As of now, there aren't any protests/events on the radar of LRPD or any outside agencies related to the events happening in Palestine/Israel 
-LRPD are staying proactive in campuses and coordinates with

-ARC 2023 AT&T Cell Tower at Stadium - Fence install is last component to install.

-ARC Foam Roofing Bid Package 1 – Project complete. Some minor warranty work, as needed.

-ARC NEC Phase II & III - Construction progress slow but good. Current activities include: steel erection area 7 & 8, which was delayed due to HVAC changes, underground utility work and preparation for concrete pours of 2nd floor deck and slab on grade. Slab is scheduled to be poured in April and May.

-ARC Tech Ed Modernization - The project is approximately 66% complete. Current activities include: HVAC duct installation, plumbing and electrical rough-in, Exterior finish systems on exterior walls has continued along with window systems. Roofing system is approx. 70% complete, drywall on one side of walls in sector B continued this week. Air handling units and exhaust fans were set onto the concrete roof curbs by crane on April 19th & 20th 2024. The anticipated start of the 8-week Campus move in, is August 15th. The 2nd phase, demo of existing auto / welding building, and site work will begin in October. The Project completion date is anticipated to be 2-25-25.

-ARC Veterans Resource Center - Plans approved by DSA. FM in-house plan review complete and comments sent to architect--followed up with further information on technology requirements. Requested Add Service for HVAC changes--discussing high fee with architect.

-Safe Los Rios, the security app replacement for our mobile program Guardian and our campus desktop app ERNI, will roll out in the Fall. 

-Zoom upgrades for the Community Rooms should be finished by the end of April. When finished, Rooms 1 and 4 will have Zoom capabilities. Rooms 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 can be combined to create a space for a larger audience.

Davies Hall Updates -ARC Davies Hall Closure & Portable Village 3 - Utility locating for survey complete, survey complete as well. Expect DSA comments/approval of permanent fence around Davies any day. Looking into upgrading stadium switch gear vs new SMUD feed for PV3. Review of existing bldg inventory to confirm no additional lift slab construction is in progress.

-Provided a list to FM of departments needing extra storage space so they can factor this in when they write their specifications for contractors
Space Utilization Study Updates -Process still on going; contractors met with different constituents; continuing their tour of the campus including Natomas Center; their findings will fold in the conversation regarding the PV 3

-Lori and Margaret were invited to speak with faculty for ideas for PV 3 and common feedback was providing ample room for programs


Photo Mural in Veteran's Center - Student Senate Richard Rutledge -Requesting to finish the mural located on the wall next to Beaver Cares in the Welcome & Support Center but it would be ideal to put in the front of Welcome and Support Center
-VPI Frank has the blueprint to finish the mural
-Suggestion to expand the student council to Veterans to DO

Purpose:
-To educate students & staff regarding the USS Sacramento and USS California
- To pay homage to the Marines and Sailors that sacrificed their lives
-To pay homage to the vessels
-To educate everyone that there were predominantly men that served for the safety of our constitutional rights
-This is a form of art - expressed art
-Recruitment opportunity for students to enroll to ARC
-No other vessels are named after the nearby cities

BJ's comments:
-ELT will meet and discuss regarding the mural policy before moving forward
