Math AB 1705 - Update (2pm) Matthew Mitchell; Amy Gaudard; Michelle Brock - STEM preparatory courses were introduced to support students with a weaker foundation in algebra.
- Calculus courses encompass various scientific disciplines.
- Pathways are available in Business, Biology, Medicine, and STEM fields.
- Students are categorized into "High" and "Low" groups based on their GPA.
- Low groups consist of students with GPAs of 2.6 and below.
- Legislative requirements outline three conditions necessary to justify the implementation of a Prep STEM class.
- The CCCCO interpretation emphasizes the importance of student readiness.
- There are four options for ARC to consider for Fall 2025.

Due to time constraints, presenters will return to the May 7 SSC meeting to continue the conversation.
ESL AB 1705 - Update (2:30pm) Patrick Hoggan; Corinne Arrieta - Courses have been rebranded as ESL (English as a Second Language).
- Entry-level classes have undergone a transformation.

Draft Charter - AI Resource Panel (1st Read) All members have been granted access as commenters, so please post any questions, suggestions, etc. you have to the doc. Doug Herndon - Initial discussions on phase one implementation.
- Educating both students and faculty on ethical AI usage and establishing protocols to address misuse.
- Implementation of academic integrity policies to combat dishonesty.
- Deliberations on an AI Charter, aiming to provide student resources for understanding AI. Targeting completion by Fall 2024.
