Check-in | Raquel Arata | What we hope this report will do for ARC? Raquel asked if we can push report back to April, waiting to hear back on that Reason behind this is to be able to carry out the focus groups Still looking for more volunteers for focus groups |

DI Focus Groups | Neue Leung |
Neue reached out to Yuj ~53 students are considered DI There are email addresses that people can use to reach out to Need to draft set of questions and then possibly offer two times students can attend Let students know the meeting will be recorded Question If we aren’t interviewing people individually, are we planning to group students so they feel more comfortable because people tend to feel more comfortable sharing when they feel more connected Could group by cultural or linguistic backgrounds Current list is not broken down by those factors due to confidentiality but it could possibly be broken down that way Another option we have is to open it up to all DI students even if they didn’t originally complete the survey to get a larger size of students to interview Could break those down into who completed the survey and who did not OR the questions could be phrased for both regardless of whether they took the survey or not If we open it up to all DI students, then we will definitely need more volunteers to lead the focus groups If possible, maybe we could match the focus group facilitator to the ethnic group being interviewed A suggestion to possibly get an outside consulting group to run the focus groups was brought up but the response was that we probably don’t have the time or funding at this time but maybe for the future Decisions: Yes, include all DI students Schedule a focus group team meeting w/ all volunteers Focus group will create questions |
