DISCUSSION ITEMS:
Question Person(s) Responsible Notes and Next Steps
Student resource panel and timing Will everyone read the responses or a subgroup? What criteria do we want to use to select the SRP in the event there are more than 18 respondents? What will be the format for the SRP (special or existing meeting, all or subgroup attendees, true synchronous panel or sequential)? When to schedule the meeting(s)? What do we want to talk with them about? All There were some important decisions to make concerning the questions and the timing for the student resource panel, so we really spent a considerable amount of time on this:
- 12 of the 18 people invited have responded to our pre-panel questionairre, but not all are willing to participate in the actual panel so we will be advertising via a few more departments and social media platforms.
- We decided to chose our panel based with thought to intersectionality, the need for students of color, gender non-conforming, and potentially students that were here pre-online exclusive Covid-19 era.
Discussion of sections 4 & 5 o LGBTQ+ Student Success in Higher Education o Why ARC? (Can anyone suggest a better name?) All Due to some time issues we didn't go over these sections and prioritized those that are dues on 10/21/2020.
Brainstorming of possible recommendations All In our brainstorming session we discussed the needs for different funding sources, a better orginizational structure (all the way to DO), and a DO level liaison to assist ARC and our sister colleges.
