Equity data trainings presentation | Jen Laflam |
Guests from the Professional Development Team gave a presentation to the Council on a new series of equity training called Actionable Equity Series, its target audience, and timelines. The first series is for faculty, and a classified series will follow. The faculty series is comprised of four 2- hour sessions. The goal is to apply an equity framework and lens to leadership work: 1) Session I: actionable equity framework and basic knowledge; 2) anti-racism work; 3) data and culture; and 4) Student Ready Action! and disproportionately impacted student populations and transformation. This 4-part series highlights the use of data in accessing student success in the classroom. The data being utilized includes both independent variables which are race/ethnicity and dependent variables which are student grades. |
