UPDATES AND BRIEF REPORTS:
Topic Person(s) Responsible Notes
Program roadmap creation update: (1) progress since our last meeting (a) flex workshops (b) map mentors (c) 2019-20 roadmaps (changes from 2018-19) (2) status of top 10 + ADTs Bill Simpson
Bill sent updated maps to chairs for final review and he is working on notifying chairs who need to create maps but haven’t yet. Four workshops were offered during flex week, which resulted in over a dozen new maps. In addition about 25-30 more maps were submitted to Bill since our last meeting. Four map mentors have joined us. Three are trained and working on maps with faculty. The fourth will be trained soon. Unfortunately, the DO said we could not have classified be map mentors, so we lost two other potential people. 2019-20 roadmaps were updated over the break, preparing them for publication on our new website.

We are making good progress toward achieving our goal of mapping all top-10 programs plus all of the ADTs. The team may have to create maps for a handful of programs if we don’t hear back from those departments soon.
Program roadmap student feedback Lisa Roberts-Law
We haven’t received feedback from Achieve students. CECA students are happy with maps. They want it interactive and easily, to be able to see their choices. They also want to check off what they’ve already done. They want it clearer as well “see the catalog for your other options.” Need GE area connected to GE course list.
Program Paths committee Tony Giusti
Approved by the Senate in December. We will work with the Senate to get the committee up and running.
Integration of Program Roadmaps and Areas of Interest with other redesign projects (1) new website (2) CCCMyPath (3) Career Coach (4) ARC Online 2.0 (5) Highpoint Degree Planner (6) ELSS Bill Simpson, Marsha Reske, Ben Barber
New website – delayed (again). Maybe as late as June. It will have areas of interest and all approved 2019-20 PDF roadmaps when it goes live.

CCCMyPath – Will have “explore majors” link to new website’s are of interest page.

Career Coach – Will be customized to link to areas of interest and to specific programs. We may also add links back to Career Coach from each program page.

ARC Online 2.0 – Will have fully online roadmaps for programs where that is possible.

HighPoint Degree Planner & Scheduler – Not sure if they support Guided Pathways. Will look into whether roadmaps can be used as a starting point for degree planning.

ELSS – We hope to have a two-way data exchange: we show them what course sequences faculty recommend to students and they will tell us whether any of our roadmaps won’t work due to scheduling issues.
