Team 2: Present draft of Online Pathways, Existing Programs, and Potential Process | Pamela Bimbi, Ben Barber & Scott Crow | Presentation by Pamela Bimbi and Ben Barber: •Pamela showed PowerPoint created by the team and listed the steps that include core courses offered 100% online, courses not currently offered online but could convert to online modality, and the development of the mapping tool which will be used for online programs. •Maintaining pathways and additional considerations were indicated. •Ben demonstrated the Atlas program mapping tool and explained how program maps can be created. •Atlas users can create new pathways, manage maps, review maps, and eventually share maps. •Atlas is in the development stage. it is easy to navigate and search for any courses, including course which fulfill specific GE requirements. •Atlas data is live and dynamic. •Phase 1 - Atlas will be an internal program mapping tool for map maker. Team 3: Present draft of Recommendations for designing new, fully online programs: | JaNay Brown-Wood and Josef Preciado | Presentation by JaNay Brown-Wood and Joseph Preciado: •JaNay provided a summary of the process and demonstrated the degree shell charts for degree completion and 12 GE courses •Joseph presented on labor market (LM) and student demand data analysis •Team agreed it’s a good idea to connect these two data information •Discussed how to identify data set intersections for decision making •Other points: readiness for online modality, capacity concerns, resource limitations and needs, assuring quality of classes •Joseph explained the advantage of Client-Relations Management (CRM) tools: -CRM tools help monitoring and tracking student program progress -CRM could be used for one specific aspect of the process •Importance of engagement between students, faculty and other program components, improvement of student success •Contacts are made with other successful colleges about their online practices •Refer to slide show presentation for more details: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Nd5n9zx9y6GmIPy2qE2Z37dByNLv0wZfEwcsjOLrrCg/edit#slide=id.ge9090756a_1_58 •Marsha pointed outthe areas of interest and ways for integration |

Team 4: Present draft of Online Academic and Student Support Services | Sonia Ortiz-Mercado, Reyna Moore, & Jason Ralphs | Marsha presented on behalf of Team 4: •Team met and worked on their project with Cheri Jones, a consultant for ARC. •A rough draft/framework was created for Online Academic and Student Support Services •Team identified main objectives, set goals, described priorities, stated vision of the future of online services •Daniel drafted some of the narrative text and diagram: Student Services for Online Learners •This framework can be used by all the other sub-teams for development of a draft plan •One of the top priorities are forms – provide an electronic alternative for all paper-based processes •This draft will be modified and adjusted as needed -refer to rough draft: https://3.basecamp.com/3941110/buckets/8597220/uploads/1464915046 |

Los Rios Online Education Initiative (LROEC) | Marsha Reske and Daniel Gilbert-Valencia | •Marsha provided Los Rios Online Education Consortium Concept (LROEC) proposal •The proposal was created at ARC •ARC President shared his vision of online education across the district •Marsha showed the video about the LROEC - https://vec.arc.losrios.edu/articles/2018/1205-LROC-Concept/index.php?id=72&type=article •The work of ARC ONLINE continues while decisions are being made at the DO and the other colleges about their participation in the LROEC •ARC has a culture of sharing; we are sharing what is currently branded for ARC but other college can use it •Chancellor King is prioritizing online education in order to better serve our students •Daniel shared his involvement in working with SCC on and collaborative degree in Cyber Security -Review LROEC proposal for further details https://3.basecamp.com/3941110/buckets/8597220/uploads/1436523178 |

-Chairs will create a draft plan during the Winter break which will include the work of each of the teams so far. That draft will be brought back to the group for feedback and further revision. -Reminder: Complete plan is due February 15 -Scott suggested that all team members should participate at Spring Convocation and provide brief updates on the ARC online project as an opportunity to share with the entire ARC community |
